WHAT DO WE DO?

WEEKLY WORKSHOPS
Mind your music run three groups in the form of weekly workshops at factory studios in Barton Hill Bristol. We play versions of popular covers agreed on by group members and a variety of original music drawing influences from reggae, gospel, blues, folk and world music as well as originals by group members. All of these groups are on a Monday - 11am -1.15 (newcomers and early risers) 1.15-3.15 (established members) 3.30-5.30 (established members and those who cant make Group 1)
Some of our members play instruments, from guitar to cello, piano and percussion, bass, mandolin and mandocello, lots of our members like to sing, and some just listen. or may be interested in writing lyrics.
Everyone supports everyone else, from making the tea and coffees to listening to each other's music and helping people feel valued.
Once every month we have an 'open mic circle' to which all groups are invited, where people can play their own music or sing karaoke style to the rest of the groups, and these sessions are always from 1-5pm.
We have a fully amplified PA system and microphones in place and instruments that can be borrowed. You don't need any previous experience just a willingness to try different things and have fun.
To register for a workshop contact us with your name, email address and number, or you can register on someone else's behalf. Care co-ordinators are welcome to accompany interested members.
