Our Ethos

We believe that music therapy happens during the actual playing of music. We're not a talking therapy group. We're very hands on musically, and most of our sessions are spent actively playing music whether as a group or listening to individuals. We don't need our members to have any musical experience, as the learning happens together through the sessions. If somebody wants to learn to play guitar from scratch, they have access to discounted one-to-one lessons with Elliot. At Mind Your Music we believe that the therapeutic affects of music are best experienced through music itself. We provide a safe and nurturing space, and don't have any rules other than always be kind and respectful to each other. We welcome people from any walks of life and all backgrounds. Please talk to us if you need help with a disability.

Support workers are welcome.
